The following drawings depict detailed explorations of common material systems and technical assemblies utilized in many construction practices today. They were developed in order to better understand the inter-workings of prescribed material sequences, the fundamentals of building egress requirements per IBC standards, as well as familiar and emerging construction techniques, among other topics. By analyzing these assignments through course-related literature and digital representation, the overarching goal was to begin to understand how to coherently draw and detail a selection of structural systems prevalent in the modern day built environment.
